Shay and Candy had a great time at the home of Shay's host family. They had a big party where we ate, sang, danced, and played the piano. One of the ladies was a poet and she recited some of her poetry, which Alexander translated for us. She used great emotion to deliver the poems so even if we didn't know what she was saying we could "feel" the poetry. Shay's host family is very talented. Her host mother plays the piano and sings beautifully so we had an impromptu concert. Shay's little Russian "brother" can play the guitar and the piano. It was a memorable evening!
