Today was the day of our Great Russian Helicopter Adventure! We all met at the small airport on the outskirts of town. They checked us through security and we walked out to the helicopter. There was room for 20 passengers on our flight. We took off for Kizhi Island, one of 1,400 islands in Lake Onega. The lake was completely frozen.
