Welcome to the Film Studies Program at North Carolina State University. We offer courses and degree programs for students of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in the history, theory, criticism, and production of films. We also offer study abroad programs, including an annual summer study abroad experience at NCSU's Prague Institute.

Robert Greene, an NCSU film studies alum, made a documentary about semi-pro wrestlers in Lincolnton, NC called FAKE IT SO REAL that made Roger Ebert's top twelve docs of 2012 list as well as The New Yorkers's best of 2012 list.

The Strong One, written by NC State students Nicholas Sailer, Josh Bielick and Tim Reavis, won best picture and best director awards at the Campus MovieFest International Grand Finale in Hollywood in 2012.
