Giving

Because of the limits of state and federal funding, public universities depend increasingly on donor funds to maintain and enhance the quality of their teaching, research, and other services to the community. These gains also benefit students and alumni by helping to secure the standing of their degrees. The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies always welcomes donations, no matter how modest, in support of its work. All donations are tax-deductible.

The Department has two standing funds that are always open for donations:

The Philosophy and Religious Studies Development Fund accepts donations that support all the Department's operations and activities according to need.

The Philosophy and Religious Studies Student Awards Fund was launched publicly in March 2011. Our goal is to make this fund big enough to convert it into an endowment that will provide support in perpetuity for student awards named in honor of distinguished emeritus faculty who made major contributions to the Department's development. MAKING A GIFT

By Credit Card: Please use the College of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Secure Online Gift Form. To direct your gift to the Philosophy and Religious Studies Development Fund, please select this fund in the drop-down menu under "HOW SHOULD WE USE YOUR GIFT?" To direct your gift to our Student Awards Fund, please click "I would like to give to a fund not listed here" and then enter "Philosophy and Religious Studies Student Awards Fund" in the box provided.

By Check: Please make your check payable to the NC State Foundation Inc., specifying one of the above funds on the memo line, and mail your check to:

Alumni Annual Giving: Alumni who contribute to NC State University through Alumni Annual Giving may ask to have their gifts assigned to one of the above funds (or any other fund in which they have a special interest).
