Welcome to the web page for the North Carolina State University Department of Chemistry's Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program. This program receives generous financial support from the National Science Foundation. Undergraduate students selected for the program will be provided the opportunity to gain experience with cutting-edge chemical research, with emphasis on the fields of materials and life sciences. Additional highlights of our program include a generous $4,000 stipend for the 10-week program, support for housing and meals, on-site laboratory visits to gain exposure to industrial and governmental research careers, opportunities to interact with students in other REU programs at NCSU, and participation in a University-wide undergraduate research symposium at the summation of the program.
