The participation of companies in our program affords REU students several unique opportunities. Firstly, each of the industrial partners hosts an on-site visit from REU students to their research facilities. This provides exposure to a range of industrial research in many different settings. This has often been the favorite programmatic event of past REU students. In addition, representatives from the industrial partners are invited to participate in the final poster session and oral presentations. We are grateful for the efforts of our industrial partners and for the experiences they offer our undergraduate students.
