POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH SCHOLAR
A postdoctoral position is available for an NSF-funded project aimed at construction of a new instrumentation platform for studying membrane proteins by a combination of ESR and solid-state NMR methods. Motivated individuals possessing skills in millimeter-wave equipment and/or pulsed ESR are invited to apply. The qualified person will be involved in construction of W-band resonators and assembly of quasi-optical transmission lines. postdoctoral research position is available in the Laboratory of Prof. T. Smirnova at the North Carolina State University Chemistry Department (Raleigh, NC).Biophysical EPR of biological membranes and membrane proteins.
Research projects include molecular mechanism of lipid transport by phosphatidylinositol transfer proteins (PITPs), and mechanisms of interactions of viral peptides with biological membranes.
