Postdoctoral Research Scholar
The Chemistry Department at North Carolina State University in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Chapel Hill at Chapel Hill is seeking to fill a postdoctoral Research Scholar position. At North Carolina State University, the successful candidate will be expected to continue the development and application of MALDESI imaging towards HIV Research. The successful candidate will also be expected to collect and interpret data, prepare presentations and publications, present data at conferences, and take a leadership role on the project by effectively growing the collaboration with the research team at the University of Chapel Hill. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team within the UNC Center for AIDS Research and the CARE collaboratory to develop novel small molecule imaging methods in animal and human tissue. These data will support drug development and quantitative pharmacology efforts in HIV prevention and cure.

Postdoctoral Research Scholar
A postdoctoral research position is available in the Laboratory of Prof. T. Smirnova at the North Carolina State University Chemistry Department (Raleigh, NC).
Biophysical EPR of biological membranes and membrane proteins. Research projects include molecular mechanism of lipid transport by phosphatidylinositol transfer proteins (PITPs), and mechanisms of interactions of viral peptides with biological membranes. Responsibilities will depend upon the applicants' area of expertise, and may include protein expression and purification, EPR spectroscopic analysis, DSC, and HPLC.
