An AB Sciex 5800 MALDI-TOF/TOF MS was purchased for the facility to replace the aging Bruker Daltonics Omniflex MALDI-TOF MS. Funding was obtained through Christopher S. Brown, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Development at NCSU.
November 2011
An Eksigent cHiPLC nanoflex system was purchased (donation by Dr. Muddiman from his PAMS retention package) & installed on the Eksigent nanoLC 1D+ system interfaced with the LTQ-Orbitrap XL. This has simplified nanoLC experiments, minimizing dead volume while improving reproducibility.
