REU 2006

The department REU program for this summer ended on Aug 2nd with a department research mini-symposium where each participating REU student gave a 15-min oral presentation on the project he/she had been working on for the past ten weeks.  You can find the abstracts of our REU students' presentations at http://www.ncsu.edu/ugrs/summer/chemabs.htm.

The event was held in Dabney 210 from 9-12pm on August 2nd.  The REU program provided a simple lunch afterwards for open-floor discussion and social mingle.

On the next day (Aug 3rd), the REU students participated in the 5th NCSU University Undergraduate Research Symposium by giving posters in McKimmon Center (http://www.ncsu.edu/ugrs/summer/agenda.htm).  There were ~190 posters presented by the students from ~20 research programs campus-wide.
