Abstracts

In order to be considered for a talk, your abstract and registration fee are due by September 10, 2002. Send abstracts electronically to: semrc_ncsu@ncsu.edu.

Note: Abstacts will remain confidential until the abstract withdrawal deadline (September 16) and until the conference program and the abstract book are published (October 23). If you require additional time beyond the September 16 withdrawal deadline, an email must be received by the Co-Chairs by September 16 requesting an extension.

Abstract Format

Abstracts will only be accepted electronically as a Microsoft Word document with the following format:

Title:

  1. Font type should be 12-point, bold Arial.
  2. The first alpha character in all words in the title should be capitalized except for articles, which should not be capitalized.
  3. Limit the title to 200 characters or less.

Authors:

  1. Font type should be 11-point, italic Times New Roman.
  2. The presenting author should be underlined.
  3. Provide the author's affiliation and the complete business address on the line under the author's name.
  4. If more than one author, provide a number after the names, which will identify the names with the addresses.
    Example
    name (1), name (2), name (3)
    (1) address of first name, (2) address of second name, (3) address of third name

Body of Abstract:

  1. Font type should be 11-point Times New Roman.
  2. Content should be limited to 3/4 of an 8.5 x 11 page and no more than 2500 characters, single spaced, aligned left with a minimum of one-inch margins.
