"Do you have any suggestions for ways to improve the support provided for this ClassTech room?
no
There should be a remote control for advancing the slides, so you are not tied down to the lectern. This applies to all rooms. Some have them, some don't.
no
Class Tech responded immediately when I reported the bulb was going out in the projector.
I was not provided support, because the telephone in the classroom did not work. And, when I used another telephone, no one answered or responded back to my telephone call.

No.
Nope- very responsive. The Irish fellow is extremely pleasant and efficient, by the way.
This room needs to be visited frequently to make sure some twit hasn't fooled with the set up in some weird way, and that the projectors are working properly.
I asked for the sound to be checked on two occassions, both of which I was told that it was fixed. I would have liked to have had a tech support person come to the room while I was there, rather than between when my classes met. I'm not convinced that the issue was ever really resolved because students still complained that the sound was poor when showing DVDs (but not stuff from the internet).
They have been much more polite and much quicker to respond and follow up - very happy
Provide numbers for accessing ClassTech support in the classroom itself by the technology. (If this is already the case, then please ignore, and my apologies for just missing it.)
Maybe some kind of training or at least an instruction manual. No one teaches us how to use these things before stepping up there.
If possible have a tech support person on location.
Other users appear to change cable connections at the podium without restoring them to their original configuration. Some way of constraining this misuse could have prevented most of the problems I've encountered in the room.
The arrangement makes a huge diffrence in the way that i teach. It's great. - Provide one semester of service for converting VHS tapes to other media before you do away with the VCRs, which I know is inevitable.
Chalk is really bad for computers, but there's not much you can do about this.
Yes. 1)Provide a WHITE BOARD. (These was one in EB1 1007 last semester but not in EB1 1011 this semester. These are MUCH BETTER than the blackboard. 2) Provide chalk and magic markers 3) If PICTURES of students could be provided on Wolfware with class roster that would be GREAT!
Hope the camera and computer can show at the same time if possible
Yes, I suggest having a manual and contact info for technical support in each ClassTech classroom. I did not realize that help was available from the NC State HelpDesk. I did only when filling out this questionnaire. Nor did our department staff knew this.
It'd be nice if staff could respond to instructor calls more quickly. I needed immediate help with a DVD player but was unable to get it, and even after I reported the DVD player problem, the issue persisted.
provide a more robust wireless mouse
label the lighting and screen switches
No, the service has been excellent.
Classroom lighting is terrible. You need to have low lighting or none in the screen area and back lighting in the audience area. The lights just were never designed for computer projection.
Evening support, please
Can you, perhaps, send copies of emails from professors who have had problems in a particular class so that 1) those who use that classroom will be alerted; and 2) professors who re-configure or change settings or pull out cables will be reminded to put things back in order for the next class?
Perhaps a clearer set of directions for usage in a faculty small booklet or something like that
I think the support is great, especially when someone can come in real time to solve a problem. Sometimes the previous professor forgets to log out, but that's easy enough to correct.
No
NO. The response is always fast.
nope
Thanks for fixing the projector so quickly when the bulb went out!!!
doing a fine job now
new screen needed in HA 100
I think they need to check the equipment more often.
No
Excellent advice and aid from Damian on your staff.
It would be extremely useful if one were able to run the projector using a laptop and also have a different (non-projected) image on the lectern monitor. As it is, if one is using a laptop with the projector, one cannot use the large screen of the lectern monitor to display lecture notes (for the use of the lecturer-- not for display). Using a laptop to display notes (while using the lectern comp
