Applying to the Co-op Program

Applying to the NC State Cooperative Education Program is as easy as 1-2-3! Before you begin, you'll need to make sure that you meet the requirements for participation. (International students on F1 or J1 visas, click here)

  1. Attend a Co-op orientation and submit a completed application to the Co-op office, located at 300 Clark Hall (located at the east end of Central Campus, near the corner of Pullen Rd. and Cates Ave.) Should you need it, paid parking is available in the Reynolds Coliseum deck.
  2. While you're there, you'll want to make an appointment to meet with a Co-op coordinator, who will introduce the Co-op process to you, review guidelines and provide feedback on your Co-op resume. You'll want to schedule your first meeting with a coordinator at least one full semester in advance of the semester in which you want to begin the Co-op.
  3. Then, create your online resume. You'll want to have this completed before meeting with your Co-op coordinator, so once you've completed your on-line resume, send an email to your coordinator to let them know your resume is ready for review.

"After I entered my resume into the database, it was only a week or two before representatives from Philip Morris contacted me," NC State junior Terry Bache said. "They took me to a recruitment dinner and after I met with them there, we set up an interview and I got the job. The process couldn’t have been easier."
