LARC

The LARC (Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo) is a four wheel amphibious ocean vessel. It is used to put out instruments, lay underwater cables, help with surveys, support divers, and accomplish many other things at the CHL Field Research Facility in Duck. The LARC is capable of carrying up to 4,500 kg and can maneuver at speeds of about 30 kph on the road and 9 kph in water.
