THE COUNSELING CENTER
IS OFFERING FREE ONLINE SCREENINGS.

People say college is suppose to be “the best time of your life.” You meet friends that last a lifetime, have fun, and discover the freedom to do whatever you want. But for many, adjusting to college life can be difficult. Many students are left feeling stressed, anxious, disconnected, and alone.

In order to help students cope, the Counseling Center at North Carolina State University is now offering several online screenings for a range of common emotional conditions that often go undiagnosed and are misunderstood.

The Counseling Center welcomes you to the online screening for depression, alcohol, anxiety, and eating disorders. This free screening is made available to all NCSU students and is completed in just a few minutes and is completely anonymous. The information and feedback provided by the screening should not be viewed as a diagnosis, but it can help you decide if you have an issue about which you could benefit from talking with a counselor.

If you would like to get further information on this issue or begin working with a counselor, you can:

  • come by the Counseling Center in the Student Health Center or call 919-515-2423 between 8am-5pm to set up an appointment.
  • (If you are currently in crisis or if this is an emergency), we offer walk-in services from 9am-4pm.
  • (If you are currently in crisis or if this is an emergency and it is after regular business hours), please contact Campus Police at 919-515-3333. Ask to speak to the counselor on call. They will ask your first name and your phone number and will have a counselor contact you shortly.

All of our services are confidential and free of charge to currently enrolled students.
