Fiber Arts Classes

For Fiber Arts classes and studio use, participants must be age 14 or older.Crafts Center classes are extracurricular, non-credit classes. All weaving and spinning wheel classes include a pass for access to the fiber studio for the current semester. The studio is available for use without taking a class. More information>

Cancellations: For a refund, the Crafts Center staff must be notified of a cancellation at least 7 days before the class or workshop begins; $10 is non-refundable. If the class or workshop is cancelled by the Crafts Center, you will receive a full refund.


Absences: To receive the best experience and get the most out of your class, attendance at all classes is important as there are no provisions for make-up sessions for missed classes.

Make a bold and colorful fashion statement with this 2” wide cuff bracelet. Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to imbed fibers into a base fabric. Beads and buttons are added and Ultrasuede provides a comfortable backing. Provide your own needle felting needles (available at crafts stores) or purchase from instructor. Bring a sharp pair of scissors. All other materials will be provided by instructor.

Learn the basics of crochet including color work, types of chain, shaping, how to read patterns, and the techniques needed for several small projects and one larger project of individual design. Students are responsible for providing their own supplies and will receive a supply list upon registration.

Tuesday evenings for 5 weeks, 6:30 - 9:00 pm, June 30 – July 28
