NC STATE IN BLACK & WHITE
Instructor: Katy Walls
An introductory class perfectly suited for NC State students, alumni and the community who wish to visually explore a few memorable sites on campus while learning the art of B&W photography! On the first evening your instructor will provide impromptu instruction as she leads the class around campus where you will learn to compose the light and motion to be captured in SLR film cameras. Bring your own camera or use a Crafts Center loaner! Students will process their exposed film and spend the remainder of this class camped out in the darkroom exploring the traditional B&W printing process. Students in this hands-on class will have the opportunity to create a few keepsake visual memories of life on our campus.
