About Us

The NC-MSEN Pre-College Program is a statewide initiative whose mission is to prepare students to study a major in science, mathematics, engineering, or technology (STEM) at a university or college and to pursue a career in science, mathematics, engineering, technology, or teaching. Students must be in grades six through 12 and attend one of the following schools: Carnage Middle, East Millbrook Middle, Leesvile Road Middle, Ligon Middle, Smithfield Middle, Wake Forest Rolesville Middle, Athens Drive High, Broughton High, Enloe High, Millbrook High, Southeast Raleigh High, and Wake Forest-Rollesville High Schools.

Students and parents must be committed to the participation of all activities in the program. Our activities include enrollment in the middle school enrichment class at the school, participation in the ACE club at the perspective high school, attendance at the Saturday Academy, Awards Ceremony, and the Summer Scholars programs. Parents must be willing to participate in the Parent Involvement for Excellence (PIE) club at the student's school. The PIE club meets on a monthly basis.
