Paul J. Turinsky

Dr. Paul J. Turinsky received his Ph.D from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Michigan in 1970. The title of his dissertation was "The Degenerate Kernel Technique in Neutron Thermalization Theory".

Currently, Dr. Turinsky's primary research interests include computational reactor physics, nuclear fuel management optimization and parallel solution of diffusion and transport equations.

Most recently, Dr. Turinsky has published articles on multilevel acceleration of the nodal solution form of the neutron diffusion equation, parallel solution utilizing domain decomposition of the integral form of the neutron transport equation, and stochastic optimization of the in-core nuclear fuel management optimization problem. He also serves as the faculty coordinator of the NCSU Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Computational Engineering and Sciences.

Dr. Turinsky also maintains a personal website. If you would like to contact Dr. Turinsky he can be reached at: turinsky@ncsu.edu
