NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY POST-DOCTORAL
The Center for Research in Scientific Computation at N.C. State University expects to make several post-doctoral appointments beginning in the spring or summer, 2012 (availability of the positions is contingent upon funding). The appointments will be in the area of applied mathematics and scientific computation.
RESEARCH APPOINTMENTSThe research interests of the Center include mathematical modeling, analysis and control of partial differential equations, numerical optimization, computational fluids and flow control, numerical methods for transport in porous media, stochastic partial differential equations, computational electromagnetics, multiscale modeling of high performance materials and biomathematics. Successful applicants will be involved in research programs in the Industrial Applied Mathematics Program, administered by the Center, which offers a unique opportunity for post-doctoral research on mathematical projects arising in industrial/governmental laboratories.
