The “Leadership In Action” program serves as CSLEPS premier leadership program. LIA includes 3 phases of leadership development for NC State students. Fifty students are invited to participate in the program each year.

Participants will apply fall of their freshman year and begin the program in the spring.

  • Application Deadline: Friday - November 13, 2009 for current 1st semester students (class of 2013)
  • Applications will be available on-line by October 15, 2009.

Why should students be involved in a formal leadership development program?

“Being involved in leadership training and education is crucial to your success at NC State and beyond. Being involved in a program like “Leadership In Action” will assist you in gaining clarity about who you are as well as what you want to do with your life. This is extremely important to employers and recruiters, as they desire candidates who know their leadership strengths, weaknesses and interests. Important information should they choose to hire you!” * Leslie Rand-Pickett, NCSU Career Counselor
