"Most college students misidentify what will get them hired. While students often believe high GPAs, strong letters of recommendation, and graduating from prestigious institutions will seal a job, employers do not. So what does? Student leadership experience is often the strongest part of a new graduate resume, sometimes trumping academic or even paid work experience. Student leadership experiences demonstrate your ability to motivate, budget, compromise and organize skills valuable at any job." Student Exec - April/May 2001 - pg. 5
