The Center would like to thank all of the students who came out for the Martin
Luther King, Jr. Service Challenge this past Saturday. We'd like to especially
thank the members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Inc. for their dramatic skit ... it was very moving.
Ebony Ebron our guest speaker did a wonderful job challenging all of us to
come up with a vision and goals to make change. We encourage all of you to check

want to learn more about how to create a vision for change and set specific
goals to accomplish your dream.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Challenge
The forth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Challenge will take
place on Saturday, January 22, 2005 from 11:45 AM–4:30
PM in Talley Student Center.
This event involves education on Martin Luther King, Jr's message on service
and on social justice issues. A service project is planned and students will
be challenged to find a way to make a difference that day with a project on
their own.
Schedule for the day:
Eat lunch on your own before arrival
11:45 - Participant Check-in
Noon - Welcome
12:10 - Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Remembered
12:30 - Service Dedication
1:00 - Social Issues Education
1:45 - Service Project Explanation
2:00 - Service Project (Transportation Provided)
4:00 - Return to Campus for Reflection
4:30 - Have a Fantastic Afternoon
