
Biography
Deborah S. Moore, a NCSU graduate, served as the first volunteer
coordinator of the NCSU Student Center. She made many contributions to society
including volunteer work, teaching English to retired Spanish-speaking people
and working with the handicapped and underprivileged. A Beaufort County native,
Mrs. Moore was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie R. Singleton. The memorial
was created in the Spring of 1977.
The Deborah S. Moore Service Awards recognize exemplary service and outstanding volunteerism by students and clubs. The Deborah S. Moore Service Award may be presented to a student only once while they are enrolled at NC State; all registered student organizations will be eligible every year. All award winners will receive a plaque and Category 1 winners receive a $100 cash prize. A typewritten recommendation should be attached to this completed form and returned to the address given at the bottom. Please limit your recommendation to one page, front and back, per nominee.

Interviews
A selection committee comprised of NC State students will select 3 to
6 nominees from the Category 1 nominations to interview. Interviews will take
place between 6 - 9 pm on Tuesday April 12, 2005.. The winners
shall be selected after the interviews. Category 2 awards will be judges by
a panel of staff members.
