The Campus Pals program was jointly sponsored by Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics & Public Service. Selected volunteers are paired with an elementary school–aged child for a mentoring relationship for the 2004–2005 academic year.
Campus Pals events will take place every other Wednesday from 5–7 PM from September 2004–April 2005 on the NC State Campus. The YMCA Big Brother, Big Sister Program staff will help coordinate all activities. All you have to do is just show up to hang out with your campus pal and have a good time!

Campus Pals candidates are selected in the spring. Applicants are screened and finalists are invited to an interview. Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Wake County conducts background checks and checks references. Candidates are typically notified of their status by July 1st. Bigs and Littles are paired after the start of the academic school year once the children have registered for the after-school tutorial program with whom we work. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Tierza Watts or Brad Davis.
