Helping Others With Leadership and Service

When the Wolfpack H.O.W.L.S., great things happen!
[Howling wolf]HOWLS is a program that allows students to:
  • Try out types of service work or a type of non-profit agency ... Participate in one-time service events when their schedule allows ... Transportation is provided for all off-campus events.
  • Participate in leadership opportunities related to service.
  • Hear speakers on social justice issues related to many of society's problems

Register for events:

Register by sending an email to: HOWLSvolunteer@gmail.com. Please indicate the name of the event you are registering for. A staff member will reply with a registration confirmation email. For more information you may call John Vance at 513-7844.

Spring 2008 Events:

January 26, 2008 (Saturday) Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Challenge

February 23, 2008 (Saturday) - The Greatest Generation 1:30 - 4:30pm

Come meet and enjoy the company of your elders. Volunteers will be traveling to 2 local assisted living centers to visit with and play games with residents. We need approximately 20 volunteers. Groups are welcome to sign up.

April 11, 2008 (Friday) - 5th Annual "Kid's Night Out" 4 - 9pm

Volunteers will be running activities and playing with the 4th and 5th graders at Fuller Elementary School. We'll need approximately 50 volunteers. Groups are welcome to sign up.
