| Description: |
At Heartland Hospice our volunteers are an integral part of our team. They help us to provide the extra love and care our clients and their families need at this challenging time in their life. Volunteers can provide companionship to our patients by visiting with them in their home or home-like setting. Hospice volunteers also provide respite to the primary caregiver who is caring for their loved one and is in need of a break. Our direct patient volunteers also help through Art Therapy, Pet Therapy, becoming Memory Catchers and by helping the patients on creative projects to leave behind for their loved one's after they are gone. |
