Position: Feed the Need Volunteer
Description: Did you know that with every dollar donated, The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is able to distribute $8 worth of food to the 400,000 people at risk of hunger in our service area? It’s easy! It’s fun! And we need your help! To raise money for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, we need volunteers to sell a special edition of The News & Observer at retail locations throughout the region. Every paper sold means a donation for the Food Bank! All volunteers receive an exclusive, pocketed Feed the Need apron — yours to keep! For more information and to sign up, please go to http://www.feedtheneednc.com Feed the Need is a new community service project established by The News & Observer, as an outgrowth of their commitment to making our region a better place for us all to live. The money and food donated through Feed the Need will go to The Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina.
