Position: Customer Relations Specialist
Description: Under the supervision of the VP of Programs and in keeping with the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Customer Relations Specialist is responsible for providing high-level customer service in response to all customer and stakeholder inquires and leads. Also responsible for marketing BBBBS programs through telemarketing recruitment outreach. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure that all contacts, customers and stakeholders receive an enthusiastic and professional phone response promoting BBBS programs • Field volunteer, parent, school and public inquiries for service in an engaging and positive manner • Provide guidance, information, proper forms and support to volunteers, school administrators, program participants, and parents • Collaborate with other service delivery staff to ensure smooth transition among functions • Provide appropriate level of service to clients and volunteers from initial inquiry to active enrollment • Thoroughly track and maintain recurring contact with potential volunteers and families who do not begin the enrollment process • Database management of inquiries, waitlists, and other pertinent data, ensuring accuracy and timelines of information systems • Run criminal, DMV and child abuse background checks on potential volunteers, follow up with references and prepare case files to be transferred to match specialist • Assist in development and implementation of volunteer recruiting efforts • Assist program staff in the development and implementation of monthly and annual program activities • Help develop and implement Life Skills Workshops, volunteer trainings and parent orientations • Participate in training opportunities provided by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and other applicable agencies. Training must be approved by the VP of Programs • Perform other duties as assigned Effectively move the volunteer from the point of first contact to active enrollment. Identify and eliminate barriers interfering with the initial enrollment process. Follow process thorough to the next point of contact. Obtain preliminary contact information and schedule enrollment interview within a prescribed time frame.
