Student Financial Services
Paying for college is a major commitment that requires careful planning and attention to detail once you’ve enrolled. You can start by getting a good overview of costs at NC State, then reviewing the funding options available through the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid (OSFA). OSFA offers financial aid counseling and will answer questions about scholarships, grants, loans and campus employment—including whether you qualify for one of our many NC State-specific scholarships.
Find information about other statewide financial aid options by visiting the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority and the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) sites. CFNC offers comprehensive information and assistance to students and parents who are planning for, applying to and paying for college in North Carolina.
Fellowship Advising serves undergraduates, alums, and graduate students across the university. It provides information about financial opportunities for work and practical experience, study in the U.S. and abroad, plus research and travel.
For information about the mechanics of paying for college, visit the Cashier’s Office for an overview of current costs, payment options, as well as student and parent services.
Work your way through college
If you’re interested in working in a paid internship as part of your education, check out the Co-operative Education Program for information about how you can work for up to one full year in a field relevant to your major and receive both payment and credit for it.
NC State's AllCampus card program is a convenient way to manage you finances. This prepaid, debit-card system is linked to your campus ID and gives you a convenient and cashless way to pay for services like the gym, laundry, and parking. You can even use it to make purchases at the bookstore, campus C-stores and meals at University Dining locations. Best of all: a new partnership with Wachovia means your AllCampus Card supports banking services, including serving as your ATM card.
There are Wachovia and BB&T ATMs in the Talley Student Center. Several other banks are also close to campus:
