Classes Classes for academic credit in modern, ballet, jazz, composition, performance and social dance are available through the Department of Physical Education. See the current schedule at Pack Tracks for semester schedules. *SPECIAL TOPICS COURSES FOR FALL 2008: DAN 290-A: Advanced Contemporary Dance Advanced Contemporary Dance is an advanced dance technique course designed to train and condition students for professional-level dance performance. The scope of this course includes modern and post-modern dance technique. *This course is appropriate for students with at least two years of prior dance training (in ballet, modern, jazz or contemporary dance). DAN 290-B: Acrobatic Conditioning for Dancers Acrobatic Conditioning for Dancers is a conditioning course for dancers and anyone else interested in building the strength and balance necessary for a variety of acrobatic skills used in post-modern dance. We will use stability balls for a good portion of the course to work on handstands and other inverted strength and balance exercises. *No previous experience is required for this course!
