| Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center
At the center of the Campaign for Excellence is the
construction of an Alumni Center a home for NC State's
145,000 alumni that will mirror NC State's growing stature
and renown. The Alumni Center will be strategically
located on the shores of Lake Raleigh on Centennial
Campus. The new 55,000-square-foot facility will offer
a host of meeting rooms, large and small; dining facilities;
and office space for a larger staff and more programming
opportunities.

William & Ida Friday Institute
The Bill & Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation
will be a dynamic, state-of -the-art facility for
educatorsa
living laboratory to conduct research, prepare student
teachers, support veteran educators, and interact with
middle school and high school students to assess and
improve their learning. The mission of the Institute
is to assist educators to work more effectively within
technology-enriched environments to ensure high achievement
for all students. The Institute will be a focal point
on
NC State's technology driven Centennial Campus, taking
full advantage of the newest tools of the Information
Age.
