African American Graduate Students Spring Banquet ($20,000 per year) - This is a gala banquet that celebrates the academic achievements of both graduate and undergraduate African American students at NC State.  This endowed fund (or corporate sponsorship) would pay for guest speaker fees/expenses, food, student recognition plaques and certificates, advertisement, programs and related expenses.

UNC System-Wide African American Graduate Student Research Symposium ($20,000 per year) - This fund would support the conduct of a graduate student research conference, which would showcase the research of African American graduate students.  The fund would pay for keynote speaker fee/expenses, luncheon, venue fees, student research awards/prizes, conference journal and other conference related expenses.
