retirement age of tenured faculty

In the period 2004 to 2007 women were a few years younger at retirement than men tenured faculty. Eighteen women retired in this period with a median age of 61 and 87 men retired with a median age of 64. There do not appear to be any differences in retirement age among colleges or among racial/ethnic groups.
