Testing Accommodations at the DSO

The DSO provides testing space and delivers testing accommodations and services as a service to faculty as our space and staff permit. DSO provides testing accommodations and services when:

All tests that students will take at the DSO should be scheduled as early in the semester as possible. Testing appointments are first come, first served and are made by the student once he or she has already requested his or her accommodations and met with the course instructor(s). Students are not allowed to schedule and take a test on the same day without the permission of the Coordinator of Testing Accommodations. The DSO is not involved when the instructor and the student decide that the test will be administered somewhere other than the DSO. The DSO is not responsible for the integrity or the security of any tests not administered in the DSO.

New and Updated Information

New for All - The DSO testing center is now using cameras to better ensure test security for the benefit of both instructors an students. Please contact the DSO Testing Coordinator if you have any questions.

New for Students - Students testing at the DSO need to start their exams at the scheduled time. Students who arrive late may forfeit their reserved space and may need to have the course instructor give permission to start the test after the scheduled start time.

New for Instructors - Tests that arrive late may not be administered. The testing schedule at the DSO is often full, so delays caused by waiting on a test to be delivered can cause delays to others testing the rest of the day. In the case that a student is unable to take his or her exam at the scheduled time due to an absent test, the students may be instructed to contact the course instructor to make alternate testing arrangements outside the DSO. Please log into the DSO Portal for Instructors frequently to keep track of when your students are scheduled to take their tests at the DSO.

Still Important! - The Disability Services Office no longer provides testing space for Distance Education courses. Please see the following websites for information about scheduling your testing accommodtions.
