Experience innovative technology.

Assistive Technology (AT) is your high tech gateway to access. Whether you have ADHD, blindness, mobility disabilities, or anything in between, we may have a customizable solution for you. With the right equipment and the technical know-how, the DSO can uniquely customize cutting-edge technology to cater to your specific academic needs. We've got you covered with equipment ranging from industry-leading voice recognition software, like Dragon Naturally Speaking, to the latest Intel-based MacBook notebooks, and from Neurofeedback-enabled PlayStations to 3D Printers.

Assistive Technology Lab
The DSO has an AT lab that has been stocked with cutting-edge technology, including the examples listed above plus many, many more. The lab is open when our office is open, but space might be limited if students are taking exams. You may also visit the lab during its drop-in hours Mondays and Thursdays from 1 to 5, with the exceptions of official University holidays and closings, when classes are not in session, and when the lab is closed for final exams. During the drop-in hours, students may receive assistance and training in the use of AT. If you are a DSO student, and would like an AT consultation, please contact Ricky Lee.
