Your Responsibilities Include
Medical Resources
Make sure to follow all medical advice. Ask your medical provider about medical restrictions, when you should return to classes, etc. Get this in writing to share with instructors when needed. On campus medical resources include the Student Health Center and Physical Therapy.
Counseling Resources
It is not uncommon for students to need temporary counseling support or consultation when experiencing medical problems and limitations. The counseling center can also provide information and assistance regarding semester withdrawals and course drops.
Physical Access Resources
Submit campus-wide disability and accessibility concerns and issues to the ADA Hotline (ADA_Hotline@ncsu.edu).
Transportation Resources
The NC State Transportation Department assists students who have difficulty with mobility as follows. All Wolfline buses are equipped with lifts that can accommodate students who use wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, or who otherwise have difficulty using steps. Transportation also has information about accessible parking.

Housing
Students should contact their Resident Adviser to notify housing about the temporary medical condition, to discuss safety issues, and to request assistance with meals, etc.
Volunteers
It is important to ask for help when needed. Students often obtain help from their family, friends, roommates, and others in their community. See also: Finding a Volunteer.
