    PREVIOUS MISSION PICTURES

    North Carolina middle schools have been involved in previous KidSat and EarthKam missions. N. C. schools have been involved in two of the four previous KidSat/EarthKam flights (STS-76, STS-81, STS-86, and STS-89)

    STS-86 was launched on 25 September 1997 with an orbit inclination of 51.6 degrees. This was the 20th mission for the orbiter Atlantis. Three North Carolina schools participated in this mission: Pine Hall Elementary, Apex Middle School, and Davis Drive Middle School.

    STS-89 was launched on 22 January 1998 with an orbit inclination of 51.6 degrees. The orbiter Endeavour carried the EarthKam camera. Only one N.C. school participated in this mission: Pine Hall Elementary.
