Bridgelines
Bridgelines at Time of Disaster
During a disaster, virtual command centers may be an option for your business unit. The following are bridgeline options that may be utilized by your department.
Option 1: NC State Communication Technologies offers: (8AM - 5PM)
Meet me calls Up to 30 people can participate in a meet- me conference call. At a scheduled time, a person on campus dials a prearranged local meet me conference call number and waits for the other participants to call in. A staff member must call the campus operator prior to the conference call to schedule a meet me call and to receive the meet me call phone number.
Conference call To schedule a conference call, the campus operator must receive from a staff member via e-mail or a fax giving 24 hours notice the day and time that they would like to place the call, the participants names and phone numbers, an authorization code that the initiator would have received from Communication Technologies Customer Support Area, and an OUC /FAS account number. On the day and time of the scheduled call, the campus operator will call the initiator of the conference call to inform them that the call is about to begin and precede to call the listed numbers. There is a $10 fee for setting up conference calls.
Please contact the campus operator at 515-2011 for more details.
