In order to comply with US Department of Transportation and the Department of Homeland Security regulations governing hazardous material security, all hazardous materials must be stored in a secured environment when not in use. All hazardous materials not in use must be stored in a locked storage area or locked lab location. The security checklist is a verification of the security and safety measures your area have taken to ensure the security of hazardous material. Any time modifications are made to the Safety Plan, the PI must go to the Final Signature page to “Sign” and submit the requested modifications! The EHS Program Manager is alerted of the modifications requested to the plan, review the material and issue approvals. |
