Registration Procedures

Encore membership is required to participate in courses, trips, and events. You must be aged 50+ to join Encore. The membership fee for the academic year (September-August) is $50; the fee for the spring (January-August) is $40; the fee for summer (May-August) is $20. The fee is due at the time of course/event enrollment. Six-week courses are $45; trips and event prices vary. Colloquia are free with membership.

Registration for Encore membership and enrollment in any of its programs is open throughout the program year. Because of enrollment limitations you are encouraged to register early. Enrollment can be completed in one of three ways:

1. by printing a copy of the current registration form and mailing it with check or credit card information to:

2. by coming to the Encore office (Room 225 McKimmon Center) see map from 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday;
   
   
3. by calling 919.515.5782 and charging the membership, class and/or trip fees to your VISA or Mastercard;
   
   

We will send confirmation of your registration. Plan to attend on the scheduled dates unless you are notified of a change. Classes typically meet in Room 11-12 of the McKimmon Center. Bring a sweater—the room is sometimes chilly. Encore reserves the right to cancel any class or event due to under-enrollment and to substitute faculty or make other changes as needed.

The Encore Program is part of the McKimmon Center for Extension & Continuing Education at North Carolina State University. The information shared and/or opinions expressed are those of the individual instructor/presenter.
