Gym Membership

Encore membership entitles you to join NC State’s Carmichael Gym for an additional fee. Gym members have full use of the gym facilities, including the swimming pool, weight room, indoor track, and exercise classes. Members also receive towel service and permanent lockers on a space-available basis, and reservation privileges for the racquetball and handball courts.
The gym fee is $20 per month + $25 annual administrative fee. You must join the gym through August 31 of each year and pay the full fee at the time you join. You must be aged 50+ to join the gym. Once you join, no refunds are possible, so you are encouraged to tour the gym facilities before joining.
Please note that there is limited parking near the gym on weekdays. (There are two pay lots within a 10-minute walk). During the day, Encore members may ride the free Wolfline buses to and from the Gym. After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends parking is free in designated spots. Gym members must show their Encore Member ID cards to gain access to the gym and to ride the Wolfline buses. Copies of the Wolfline schedule are available in the Encore office.
