NCSU Energy Management - Conservation Action Team

The goal of the Conservation Action Team is to raise awareness in departments and divisions of NCSU on how to save energy and water in the buildings that they occupy, in support of the state's Utility Savings Initiative. We develop strategies to conserve energy and water, and are responsible for the NCSU Water Conservation response plan based on the City of Raleigh's Mandatory Restrictions and Governor Easley's mandates for water conservation.

The Conservation Action Team currently consists of:

Lindsay Batchelor - Waste Reduction & Recycling
Allen Boyette - Building Maintenance and Operations
Alan Daeke - Director of Utilities Services
Paul McConocha - Energy Program Manager
Brandon Vann - Office of Energy Management
Crayton Garrell - University Dining
Barry Joyce - Athletics
Matt Miller - Carmichael Gymnasium
Marie Ministero - Talley Student Center
Barry Olson - University Housing
Albert Scott - Housekeeping
Ed Sekmistrz - Office of Energy Management
David Townsend - Grounds Management

We are interested in having more participants, particularly from the student body and faculty in academic departments. If you are interested in more information or attending one of our meetings, please contact save_energy@ncsu.edu.
