GREEN (Generating Residential Environmental Education Now)

The GREEN program is a collaboration of the Office of Energy Management (OEM), Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling (OWRR), University Housing and the Inter-Residence Council (IRC). We are looking for student leaders who are dedicated to environmental issues. As a representative for the GREEN program, you can educate your peers about sustainability concerns through the facilitation of programs and participation in campus events (click here for information regarding campus events).

Requirements:

  • Must live in a NCSU on-campus residence hall.
  • Leadership commitment for the 2007-2008 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Residential education through the organization of sustainability programs and informational bulletin boards.
  • Participation and recruitment of students for GREEN on-campus events and community service projects.
  • Facilitate improvements in the residence hall with regards to recycling and waste reduction, water and energy conservation and other sustainability concerns.
