NCSU Energy Management - Organizations

Conservation Action Team - The goal of the Conservation Action Team is to raise awareness in departments and divisions of NCSU on how to save energy and water in the buildings that they occupy, in support of the state's Utility Savings Initiative. We develop strategies to conserve energy and water, and are responsible for the NCSU Water Conservation response plan based on the City of Raleigh's Mandatory Restrictions and Governor Easley's mandates for water conservation.

Campus Environmental Sustainability Team (C.E.S.T.) - An appointed comittee consisting of students, faculty, and staff chaired by the NCSU Sustainability Officer. You can view the comprehensive assessmenent of sustainability at NCSU here.

Wolfpack Environmental Student Association (W.E.S.A.) - The purpose of this club will be to promote campus environmental awareness and environmental protection, to form networks with themes related to the environment and natural resources within NCSU's colleges, and to engage other universities) both national and internationally) in endeavors to manage environmental and natural resources. The Club will participate in projects and initiatives that contribute to better use of environmental and natural resource use at NC State University, Wake County, and beyond. We're a newly-formed organization at North Carolina State University, and we care about the environment. If you feel the same way we do, you belong here too. It doesn't matter what your major is or if you are a faculty member, alumni, or student--we need YOU. We want to connect people from ALL disciplines so that we can combine our talents and make a difference at NCSU, Wake County, and beyond.
