Lighting is a critical factor and the existing design and quality may not provide access for some students who have reduced vision. The intensity of the light, glare, and contrast are factors that affect whether the student can see visual course content. Responsibilities are as follows:

Instructor

Report any lighting problems to the Classroom Hotline at 515-1555 for University classrooms, the departmental office for other rooms, and to Cheryl Branker, Associate Vice Provost and ADA Coordinator.

Student

Report any lighting problems immediately to the instructor, the Building Liaison, and to Cheryl Branker, Associate Vice Provost and ADA Coordinator.

DSO

Inform the Classroom Hotline when an eligible student requests accessible lighting.
Include information about lighting needs such as, highest output lighting, room darkening shades, reduced lighting, etc.
