During the six week program, TULE participants:
- Live on the campus of the Governor Morehead School.
- Take an NC State University course during the Summer II session.
- Complete orientation and mobility training in the city of Raleigh and the University environment.
- Receive academic advising that includes help with course selection.
- Participate in on-campus sessions regarding academic accommodations, library use, self-advocacy, information about legal mandates and student rights, stress management, career counseling, etc.
- Receive mentoring and support for academic skills such as note-taking, test-taking, studying, writing, etc.
- Receive on-campus peer support.
- Receive support and training for technology and computers (including keyboarding, word processing, adaptive software, email, and the Internet).
- Participate in disability-specific assitive technology exploration and usage.
- Learn disability-specific strategies that address daily living skills.
- Participate in a variety of on-campus experiences such as dining, gymnasium, campus cinema, etc.
- Access resources to meet academic, study, social, and travel needs.
