Valuing Differences Through Diversity

Diversity goes beyond topics of race and gender. In this workshop, a broad definition of diversity is explored including such characteristics as ethnicity, age, generational dynamics, religion, disability, sexual orientation, values, personality characteristics, education, marital status, and beliefs. By exploring differences, we can begin to understand how people perceive the world differently. It is through the reconciliation of differences that we begin to raise our awareness to function effectively in a diverse work group.
