International Activities
Environmental sciences and natural resource management are truly global fields requiring an understanding of worldwide forces and cooperation among nations. NC State provides a global perspective within all ESNR curricula and encourages undergraduates in these programs to pursue study or work abroad opportunities. Students can choose from a variety of programs that fit different scheduling and budget needs, including programs that take place during spring break, summers, semesters, or across an entire year:
- The Office of International Affairs sponsors numerous study abroad programs. You’ll find that both the College of Natural Resources (CNR) and The College of Agricultural & Life Sciences offers opportunities through this office that often involve topics of interest to ES and NR students.
- Organized student trips abroad are led by ES and NR faculty members each year, covering various environmental topics in such places as Africa, Sweden, Costa Rica, China, Chile and many other countries.
- CNR international environmental resources activities are widespread and include a variety of programs that expose undergraduates to global work and study.
