Food safety. Food poisoning (e.g., Salmonella). Food handling and preparation. Food safety policy. Develops and evaluates programs, strategies and interventions that focus on safe food handling from farm-to-fork. Using reality-based research methods, he focuses on fresh produce food safety; foodservice and retail; and consumers. Uses new methods and messages to provide information that helps create a culture of food safety.
