History

NC State Bookstores, as well as several Student Affairs units and student organizations, moved to Harrelson Hall from the Talley Student Center area in June 2011. A section of the the lower level of Harrelson Hall was enclosed and upfitted for use as a temporary bookstore facility until it can move into permanent space in the new Talley Student Center in 2014. The move ensures that students are best served during the Talley Student Center renovation & addition project. While the space is about half the size of the existing bookstore, it will continue to carry the vast majority of items currently stocked and all services will remain intact while the store awaits the construction of its new home in the Talley Student Center. The bookstore will also carry seasonal items, like textbooks, on mobile shelving so to be more flexible with the space.
